Well defined and obvious,
A sorrowful companion,
Mercy’s reckless overlord,
Descending into shadows
Held dangerous by implication,
Scorning hints of ill-repute and ostracism.Silent in expression,
Not content with words of kindness,
Heart to heart and flesh to flesh,
Compassion puts itself at risk;
Stretching out a relentless hand
To take hold of the treasure
Hidden well beneath the breast of carelessness.
